The Barlo
A good friend of my mother's gave this piece of furniture to me and my business partner. We had plans to re-style and then sell, but could not decide on a color. My Mother passed away recently after a long battle with cancer. It was and has been heartbreaking. But, I love to think of her with my Dad walking on the beach in the sun and of course dancing. One of her favorite colors was yellow, so when yellow popped into my head one day, I decided to trust my instincts and go with it. So glad I did! It took three shades of paint to give it the depth and intensity of color that I wanted. Along with the sanding and distressing the top is now smooth as glass. I am not sure how old this is, but I was thinking 1920's? Does anyone know?

probably more '30s ... it is gorgeous. So sorry to learn of your Mother's joining Jesus. May your parents enjoy eternity together. Prayers lifting for them & you, K.

Sorry for your mother's passing, how comforting to think of her with you dad. She has inspired a great color choice for the dresser. Such a bold contemporary color, yet it looks fantastic on your antique dresser.
